Our April show is fully loaded with laughs and we don’t think we are overstating it when we say that this is one of the best lineups the comedy world has ever seen! Legendary act Peter Berner headlines our show with the hilarious Sam Bowden MC. Sam Bowring and Jen Carnovale are support for this show, who would normally top any bill they were on!
Peter Berner is without doubt one of Australia’s most popular and respected media entertainers, stand-up comics and corporate performers.
Peter started his career as a stand-up comedian in 1988. Since this time he has performed locally and internationally, as well as writing and performing solo comedy shows in festivals in Australia and the UK. His intelligent humour has always set him apart as one performer who can comfortably straddle comedy styles as disparate as satire, observational comedy and reactive comedy with ease leaving audiences in hysterics. His comedy has also proven to translate into the electronic media, with Peter constantly employed on both TV and radio since 2001.
Sam Bowden is a writer, actor and comedian who's been plying his trade both here and in the UK since 2012. His debut solo hour The Epicurean Shark enjoyed a sell-out weekend at the Wonderland Festival in 2018 at the Brisbane Powerhouse, after which he was invited back to perform as part of the Brisbane Comedy Festival showcase and Queerstories. In 2019 he opened the MELT Queer Comedy Gala alongside the likes of Rhys Nicholson and Demi Lardner, and returned to perform in 2022/
Sam Bowring has been a stand-up comedian for over 25 years, has performed at major comedy festivals around Australia, and been nominated for numerous industry awards. Fortunately, he never actually won anything, so this mild success never went to his head.
He has recently written a new feature film with Arj Barker called The Nut Farm.
“**** His jokes are like ninjas quietly sneaking up on you ... undeniably funny.’”
Jen Carnovale has traveled from quaint bookstores in Canberra to Latvian kind-of scary warehouses for stand up. She has toured across the UK, Australia, all the good looking parts of Europe and tasty parts of Asia, she has performed for Comedy Central Australia, Frocking Hilarious for Action Aid, opened for Doug Stanhope, a regular guest on ABC iviews Bookish and was invited to perform with All Together Now for Comedy Vs Racism.

Shows over 18 only!
Luke Heggie has been dabbling with new trends, such as monetising a contrived identity, and debating actual facts on the internet. But he also has to be able to sleep at night.
If you consider “you love yourself” to be more of a compliment than a preamble to a fight, you use a passport as identification in your own country, you make your kids come and watch you play sport, you develop a lisp when you say a Spanish word, you've ever said that you have a great sense of humour, or you fill up with premium unleaded, then do not come to this show.
The majority used to be a bit more silent, making them bearable. Internet users have described Luke Heggie as a flog, brilliant, a lefty wanker, a fascist, a comedian at the peak of his power, disgraceful, and the best in the land. Come and make your own mind up. Or not. Nobody really cares what you do. No lowbreeds please.

I love a good meander, a nice big walk where your mind gets to wander, and you think about the big things in life. Sometimes after a while you find yourself asking questions like “Is this the same path I started on?” and “Why can’t they have more signs?” also “Shouldn’t I be back close to where I started by now?”
Then you find yourself reaching out to those you love and asking them questions like “Could you come and pick me up?”
And other times you just end up down the street looking around at the shops and when you get home you feel very pleased with yourself for not buying anything.
Geraldine Hickey is a regular on our screens, appearing on Question Everything, Have You Been Paying Attention?, and Thank God You’re Here.
